NEW DELHI: District hospitals of as many as 11 states and UTs, including Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and most north-eastern states, have no functional cardiac care units (CCUs), the health index released by Niti Aayog shows raising an alarm about absence of health infrastructure to treat cardiovascular diseases - the leading cause of deaths in India.
